Hi Brian,

I don't think anyone can argue that Trivial Pursuit is not influential (despite being, well, trivial). Ask the general public about board games and they'll come up with Clue(do), Monopoly, Scrabble and TP. In the UK anyway.

Whereas, in this context Jeopardy is a non-entity. While there have been several attempts at a British version, none has lasted more than a couple of years. It doesn't have the name recognition that it apparently has in the States. I'd guess Brits are more likely to know Mastermind, University Challenge or Who Wants to be a Millionaire...

So that's a yes to Trivial Pursuit and no to Jeopardy.
